contemporary art glass

The resolution vase is made of individually handcrafted tiles of glass that are fused together, attached to a blowpipe and then coated in several layers of colorless molten glass.  Jeff uses three different types of tiles to create the resolution vases: solid tiles, checkerboard tiles and striped tiles. These tiles are all the same size and shape at the beginning of the process.  However, as the tile elements are heated during the glassblowing process, the various colors react differently to the heat and to each other, creating a diverse pattern of sizes and shapes when the vessel is complete.
