The pagoda vessel is created from a mosaic of handmade glass strips and tiles that are fused, curled and blown into shape. The texture located on the inside of the vase is a result of this process and plays an important role in the look of the vase as light passes through - distorting and magnifying the pattern from the other side. The pagoda vase is made with only four colors: orange, red, blue, and aquamarine. Areas where the blues and reds overlap form shades of blue, blue-green, purple, and fushia. The pattern is inspired by carved details used in ancient Chinese architecture.
